System Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to manage and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our computer systems, servers, networks, and associated technologies. This includes troubleshooting, maintenance, security, and configuration of our IT systems, ensuring the efficient operation of both hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance & Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware devices.
- Ensure that servers and workstations are properly configured and secure.
- Perform regular system backups and restores.
- Manage system updates and patches for all hardware and software.
- Network & Security Administration:
- Monitor the performance of network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Administer network security measures to safeguard sensitive data and systems (firewalls, VPNs, access controls, etc.).
- Ensure proper user access management and monitor system usage for potential security risks.
- Configure and maintain domain controllers, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Respond to and resolve system issues, errors, and outages promptly.
- Provide on-site or remote support for end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and server problems in a timely manner.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and system processes.
- Prepare regular system performance reports and security audits for IT leadership.
- Document and track issues using an IT ticketing system.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and projects.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and support IT projects, ensuring deadlines and performance standards are met.
- Disaster Recovery:
- Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure the system is regularly backed up, and recovery procedures are effective and tested.
Qualifications:
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
