Join St Nicholas as a Permanent full time Systems Support Lead, where you’ll lead the implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of our Childcare Management System (CCMS) across multiple services.

In this vital role, you’ll be the go-to expert for system functionality—partnering with leaders and frontline staff to deliver seamless rollouts, provide training and drive continuous improvement. Your work will directly support our commitment to quality care, compliance and operational excellence.

Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to lead St Nicholas operational systems and provide support with the rollout, training, implementation and maintenance of internal and external systems, including the Childcare Management System (CCMS).

The role will provide product direction and assistance in making decisions regarding St Nicholas’ use of relevant systems including CCMS.

This position also plays an important role in providing mentorship, support and advice to Nominated Supervisors and employees on the functionality of the system and contributes to ongoing optimisation to ensure the system remains fit for purpose.

The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Extensive experience in early education settings and deep understanding of processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of childcare management systems.
  • Experience in providing mentorship, training and support to leadership and frontline workers in the effective use of childcare management systems.
  • Highly developed administrative and organisational skills with a sound ability to organise, prioritise and multitask in order to execute work accurately, meet deadlines, manage competing demands, and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and positively communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high level of competency and ability to utilise various databases Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing information management strategies, preparing reports/documentation and providing high level administrative support to support the delivery of services across a wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge of parenting practices that support parent-child relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with system development and implementation of processes and training and ongoing support in the use of childcare management systems.
  • Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current unrestricted Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • National criminal history check clearance.
  • Project management, business administration or governance (Desirable).
