Moore, Candella & Associates, CPAs, a mid-size, full-service public accounting firm located in Newport News, VA, provides tax, accounting, audit and business advisory services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. We are currently seeking a dedicated team player with 7+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead and oversee tax engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates
• Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including research, projections, planning, compliance, and consulting
• Supervise and train tax staff and evaluate their work
• Build new and existing client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities including demonstrated supervisory experience
• CPA certification or EA designation
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (QuickBooks, CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement software proficiency are a plus)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships
• Trust & Estate experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
