Job Title: School LibrarianJob Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and passionate School Librarian for our CBSE school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the school library, promoting reading habits among students, and supporting academic learning through effective library resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the school library.
• Organize, classify, and maintain books, journals, magazines, and digital resources.
• Issue and receive library books using proper records/software.
• Assist students and teachers in locating relevant learning resources.
• Encourage reading habits and develop library engagement programs.
• Maintain discipline and ensure a quiet, productive learning environment in the library.
• Plan book exhibitions, reading sessions, and literacy activities.
• Update library inventory and maintain records of purchases and damaged/lost books.
• Coordinate with academic staff for curriculum-related resource requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of library facilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science (B.Lib / M.Lib preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a school library, preferably in a CBSE school.
• Knowledge of library management systems/software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Passion for books, reading, and student development.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CBSE academic requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to engage with students of different age groups.
• Good record management skills.
