The Team Lead for Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) is instrumental in advancing healthcare in New Zealand. They achieve this by combining deep industry knowledge with strategic foresight, enabling Roche Diagnostics New Zealand (RDNZ) to become a preferred partner. This involves building strong internal and external relationships, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring that product and service delivery are aligned with evolving healthcare needs.
Another key aspect of this role is leading the Field Application Specialists (FAS) team, providing expert technical support for Roche systems. This includes overseeing training, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective after-sales service. The Team Lead also focuses on developing the team's capabilities, coaching Application/Product Specialists to enhance their expertise and contribute to RDNZ's long-term success.
What you will be working on:
The Team Lead fosters a collaborative environment, working closely with the Service team to uphold high-quality technical standards. They embody creative leadership principles, acting as a visionary, architect, catalyst, and coach (VACC), empowering employees to innovate, collaborate, and take ownership, ultimately driving impactful contributions to healthcare. As a team leader you will demonstrate:
Team Leadership & Development:
Prioritize team tasks and ensure efficient resource utilization
Motivate and empower team members to achieve goals and enhance skills
Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and collaboration
Develop and manage individual development plans
Strategic Marketing & Business Planning:
Develop and execute RDS marketing strategies aligned with RDNZ's vision, participating in strategic planning and customer engagement
Translate product features into customer benefits, deliver presentations, and identify/implement business opportunities, while managing CRM and facilitating user groups
Participate in Customer Engagement and Squad Strategies
Technical Expertise & Customer Support:
Oversee instrument installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Ensure quality after-sales service and timely resolution of customer complaints
Provide second-level technical support and manage issue escalation
Ensure team instrument expertise is kept up to date.
Training & Compliance:
Maintain team competence through training and cross-training initiatives
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, Roche processes, policies and quality requirements.
Who you are:
You are an Agile and VACC leader who embodies Roche's values, excels in communication and networking, and possesses a deep healthcare understanding. They drive strategic plans through collaboration, prioritize team success, and foster continuous improvement.
You have:
Relevant degree / diploma in Science / Laboratory Science / Telecommunications with special emphasis on Information Technology subjects preferred
At least 3 years’ experience working in related fields within the Medical Diagnostic Industry
Exhibited ability to diagnose applications and operational issues on Medical Devices and to successfully resolve issues in a timely manner
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer empathy and interaction skills
Proven track record in data connectivity, troubleshooting and resolution
The ability to demonstrate competency of leadership skills
