- Full-time 12 month role | 5 weeks’ leave + monthly day off | Enjoy balance

About the role
The Early Stroke Discharge (ESD) service provides community based multidisciplinary care to support patients transitioning from bed-based services to their own homes. The ESD Service provide intensive rehabilitation in the client's home or in the centres. The service runs out of Eastern Health – Peter James and Angliss.
This leadership opportunity seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Clinician Team Leader to join and lead the ESD team at Eastern Health as well as coordinating the ESD service.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- High level of recognised experience and expertise in a specialty area of stroke rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including competencies in decision making and in handling a range of complex issues.
- A demonstrated capacity to inspire, influence and motivate staff and to contribute to a positive and compassionate organisational culture.
- Significant knowledge and experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement service delivery initiatives to specialist areas.
- Demonstrated ability, knowledge and experience to lead the professional development of others.
- Demonstrated capacity to conduct supervision and performance management discussions with staff.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- AHPRA registration
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
