Team Lead – Job description

Sánas provides alternative respite support for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

We are looking for a motivated candidate who believes in developing people’s strengths. As the leader of a team of Direct Support Workers, you will provide your team with guidance and support, and ensure that they deliver on our promise of a strengths-based approach with our service users. Your day-to-day focus will be:

• Coordinating and managing the daily operations of support services, including the provision of formal supervision and management of a team of Direct Support Workers
• To liaise with the service user's family and relevant members of multi-disciplinary teams, community groups and voluntary bodies with the aim of furthering Service User needs
• Encouraging a supportive and collaborative culture among your team
• Ensuring the ongoing focus on service’ users strengths and uncovering new ways of developing these
• Understanding and delivering on Sánas’ core Vision, Mission and Values
• Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Service Manager/Service Manager.
• Fostering the development of team members to become the next Sánas Team Leaders while we support you on your professional journey

Requirements:

• Third level Qualification in Health Care, Social Care, or Teaching.
• Experience of management and supervising both individuals and teams
• Experience working with children/young adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
