We're looking for a dynamic and technically driven Technical Project Lead to join our innovative Waterjet Team. If you're passionate about precision engineering, thrive in cross-functional environments, and excel at turning complex challenges into streamlined solutions—this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
As the Technical Project Lead, you’ll be the cornerstone of our project execution, owning the technical scope and driving success from the beginning to completion. You’ll act as the vital link between our internal team and customers, ensuring seamless communication, and technical excellence. Key responsibilities for the Technical Project Lead include:
- Lead the technical execution of all waterjet projects, from planning to the end of warranty period
- Translate customer needs into actionable technical requirements
- Collaborate closely with Application Engineer, R&D, Project Management and production, to ensure alignment
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team performance
What we think you should have
We’re looking for a skilled professional with experience in technical project management or design engineering—ideally within mechanical or industrial engineering. You hold a B.Sc or M.Sc in engineering and thrive in collaborative environments where clear communication is key.
You’re confident managing multiple projects and priorities, and you approach problem-solving with creativity and determination. Your ability to stay organized and focused helps drive successful outcomes. Since we operate in an international context, strong English language skills are essential.
At KONGSBERG, we believe that diversity fuels innovation. We encourage you to apply, even if you do not meet every requirement. Your unique perspective is valuable to us. Your skills, attitude and perspective could be exactly what we are looking for!
Our ambition is to fill the position as soon as possible; selection and interviews may therefore begin during the application period. For this position we work with personality and ability tests which may be sent to you if you proceed in the process.
Since we are a company working with customers in the Naval segment, questions related to citizenship will be part of the selection process.
