We’re looking for an experienced Technology Risk Specialist to join our IT Governance & Transformation team in North Sydney. This is a permanent full-time role, offering an excellent work-life balance through our flexible hybrid model (5 days in the office per fortnight). This role supports the uplift of our technology risk maturity and is instrumental in maintaining a robust control environment that protects our people, data and systems. This role would be highly suitable to someone who has line 1 risk experience and motivated in being proactive.

Salary: Salary plus super plus annual bonus incentive

So, what’s the job?

You’ll assess and monitor technology risks, ensuring alignment with ICIF and other compliance frameworks

You’ll maintain the technology risk register and lead the development of risk mitigation plans

You’ll ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, managing audits and reviews

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to embed risk-aware practices and uplift risk maturity across technology functions

You’ll support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to technology risk

You’ll liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to support compliance and assurance activities

And what are we looking for?

You’ll have at least 5+ years’ experience in technology risk, IT audit, or compliance roles within complex environments

You’ll have a strong understanding of IT governance, risk management practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ICIF, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT)

You'll have a strong understanding and experience in line 1 risk

You’ll have demonstrated experience in risk profiling, audit response, and control management

You’ll have the ability to influence stakeholders and drive compliance across diverse teams

You’ll have strong communication skills as well as being organised, solution oriented and be a forward thinker
