We are a leading manufacturer in Ball Ground, GA, dedicated to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Tooling & PileClaw Technician to support our extrusion team with tooling, die maintenance, and PileClaw fabrication.

Position Summary

The Tooling & PileClaw Technician supports all tooling and PileClaw fabrication activities to ensure production needs are met. This role works closely with Extrusion Shift Leads, Maintenance Technicians, Materials Coordination, and Production Management. The technician ensures all dies and PileClaws are prepared, cleaned, repaired, and tracked according to company standards.

Daily Responsibilities

• Lead by example and uphold all company safety rules.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas.
• Perform tooling-related tasks including die cleaning, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Request and manage necessary supplies.
• Perform PileClaw fabrication tasks and maintain appropriate inventory.
• Complete all required work orders, documentation, and quality-related paperwork with 100% accuracy.
• Assist maintenance with entering work orders as needed.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.

Weekly Responsibilities

• Complete housekeeping audits.
• Update all performance, tracking, and modification logs.
• Maintain die work documentation including Key Inserts, Die Burn Data Sheets, and Offline Die Cleaning records.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
• Basic tool and die experience.
• Ability to read and work from electrical blueprints.
• Skilled in MIG/TIG welding (including aluminum).
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• English fluency.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
• Ability to lift:
• 10 lbs regularly
• 50 lbs frequently
• 100+ lbs occasionally
• Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Occasional outdoor exposure.
• PPE provided and required at all times.

Travel

• No travel required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
