Salary: $142,000 – $145,000 per annum plus the applicable superannuation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Company Manager ( Operations Manager ) to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our transport services. The role involves managing the scheduling, maintenance, and logistics of a fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of goods across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organising the purchase, servicing, and maintenance of transport vehicles and equipment
  • Planning and implementing transport schedules to ensure timely deliveries
  • Liaising with clients and customers to manage bookings, rates, and service quality
  • Ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety and transport regulations
  • Maintaining accurate operational and financial records and preparing management reports
  • Managing vehicle allocations, driver rosters, and dispatch schedules
  • Supervising operational staff and coordinating driver training programs

Skills and Experience Required

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Automotive , Logistics, Business, or Management (or equivalent work experience)
  • At least 1-3 years’ relevant experience in a transport or logistics management role
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, compliance standards, and route planning
  • Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

About You

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for organising and controlling the overall operations of SGNR Transport Pty Ltd, which manages a fleet of vehicles providing goods transportation services across Australia.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage operations efficiently while maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction. You will have a strong understanding of Australian transport business, culture, and experience in operational cost control, safety management, and staff supervision.
