Due to continued growth, Sofrimar is seeking a Transport Manager / Driver to oversee the day-to-day logistics of our transport fleet. This is a key role focused on ensuring efficient, compliant, and safe transport operations that support our expanding seafood distribution network.

We have since grown to become a trusted supplier, exporting high-quality seafood to leading European and Asian markets. As we continue to expand, we are offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transport schedules, routes, and deliveries to ensure timely and efficient operations managing 4 trucks and three drivers.
- Collect fresh seafood from key ports and suppliers along the East Coast - oversee day-to-day fleet operations, including maintenance planning and issue reporting
- Monitor and ensure compliance with transport legislation, including driver hours, tachograph usage, and health & safety regulations
- Promote safe driving practices and ensure vehicles are properly cleaned, maintained, and operated in line with company standards
- Uphold delivery procedures and company policies at all times
- Support vehicle and equipment breakdown prevention with timely reporting and proactive maintenance
- Maintain high standards for the premises and vehicle presentation
- Drive when required, supporting the transport team as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within a fast-paced, time-sensitive transport or logistics environment (multi-drop experience preferred)
- Background in food or seafood distribution is an advantage
- Full, clean driver’s licence essential; up to date CPCs, Management CPC highly desirable and ability to operate a moffett.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; able to adapt to internal IT systems
- Strong team leadership, communication and decision-making skills with a hands-on attitude
- Proven ability to plan and manage individual and team workloads effectively
- Fluent English – written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations (Tachograph, Working Time Directive, etc.)
- Familiarity with the road network and logistics of the South East region
- Drive when required, supporting the transport team as needed
