Mō te tūranga - About the role

The ANZ Treasury team is responsible for the management of New Zealand’s balance sheet and associated risks. This involves a wide range of activities including liquidity, funding, capital and various regulatory and prudential issues, including managing the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and rating agency relationships

As the Treasury Securitisation Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the secured funding programmes within Treasury by providing support and expertise to ensure that eligible loans are securitised into the relevant securitisation pools. You will analyse, plan, organise and manage the work surrounding selection, validation, maintenance, data and reporting for the secured funding portfolios. You will also be responsible for maintaining key relationships with regards to validation of mortgage information

As the Treasury Securitisation Analyst, you will:
Ensure loans meet the agreed criteria to be sold into the securitisation pools

Coordinate relevant data and reporting with Lending Services, Finance, Products, Treasury, other business units & Management

Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Manage the process for ‘Covered Bonds Agreed Upon Procedure’, including obtaining resources for pre-audit validation, and provision of required information ready for external auditors

Assist with the completion of the regular programme settlements and compliance tasks

Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation of solutions to work more effectively and efficiently

Support and provide data for regulatory bodies and external reporting

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Strong statistical analysis and interpretation skills

Refined relationship building skills & the ability to effectively engage with Management and Senior Leaders

Proficient written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and document processes effectively

Knowledge or experience in home loan products, preferred but not essential

Proven experience with Excel for large data sets

Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve insights and processes

The ability to review and prioritise tasks on an ongoing basis to effectively manage time and ensure that all deadlines are met.

Proficiency in SAS coding or similar languages preferred, but not essential
