Job Overview:

As an Unloader at United Utilities of Georgia, you will be responsible for unloading deliveries and ensuring that goods and materials are handled with care. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play an essential role in supporting our operations and maintaining a smooth flow of materials for our utility services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Unload incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and containers.

- Inspect materials and equipment for damage during unloading and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

- Sort and organize materials and supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring they are easily accessible for distribution.

- Keep accurate records of all materials received, including quantities and conditions.

- Maintain a clean and organized unloading area to ensure safety and efficiency.

- Assist in inventory control and stock management by ensuring proper labeling and organization of items.

- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate material handling.

- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required).

- Previous experience in an unloading or warehouse role is preferred but not required.

- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Basic knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts (training provided).

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to verify the accuracy of shipments.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Ability to work in various weather conditions, as unloading may occur outdoors.

- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or evenings, if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.40 - $18.50 per hour
