The Role

As a Veterinary Assistant at Petzoic, you’ll work side-by-side with our veterinarians in both Urgent Care and Primary Care settings. You’ll gain exposure to medicine, client service, and hospital operations—all while making a meaningful impact on pets and their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms with SOAP templates, treatment plans, invoices, and medications.
• Preparing exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment for procedures.
• Providing hands-on care before, during, and after exams and treatments.
• Supporting diagnostic procedures (X-rays, lab work).
• Communicating with clients, including education, follow-up calls, and care instructions.
• Managing email correspondence, scheduling, and client records.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment.
• Cross-training and collaborating with VTAs and VMRs for smooth workflow.

• A strong interest in veterinary medicine and animal care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Calm and adaptable in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Veterinary medical terminology and prior clinic experience are required.
