Our 3-year-old, modern, multi-doctor veterinary facility is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our supportive and upbeat team. What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams and procedures
• Safely and compassionately handling and restraining patients (dogs and cats)
• Preparing exam rooms, equipment, and treatment areas
• Supporting hospitalized patients with providing husbandry and TLC
• Communicating clearly and kindly with clients and team members
• Helping keep our hospital clean, organized, stocked, and running smoothly
• Preparing fecal and blood samples for the lab

What We’re Looking For

• Veterinary assistant experience preferred (or equivalent hands-on animal care experience), or holds a certificate/diploma in animal care
• Strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and an ability to think ahead and multitask
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills (efficient, very pleasant, courteous, polite, and helpful under all conditions)
• A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and patient care
• A focus on cleanliness of the facility as a priority (lots of cleaning and laundry!)
• A candidate with a flexible schedule that can work a mixture of shifts (up to 12 hours), and can work every Sunday 9am-4:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
