We are a thriving small animal hospital in the Washington Park neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Denver Animal Hospital is an independently owned practice that provides routine , urgent, and specialty patient care. We partner with board certified veterinarians to provide our patients with a variety of services including oncology, orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation, cardiology, anesthesiology, radiography, and specialty surgeries.

We are looking for a standout individual to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant. Veterinary Assistant qualifications and duties include but are not limited to:

• Obtaining general vitals
• Knowledge of low stress restraint techniques for cats and dogs of all sizes
• Assisting technicians in obtaining radiographs
• Assisting technicians with blood draws
• Excellent situational awareness and ability to multitask with precision
• Laboratory knowledge: ability to prep samples for reference lab and ability to handle in-house labs with proper training
• Ability to professionally interact with clients in person and via phone
• Ability to assist technicians and doctors in exam rooms
• Detail oriented with and eye for keeping spaces clean and sanitary
