Job Summary
We are looking for somebody with a Veterinary Medical Assistant diploma who can also cover in reception as needed. Primary role will be hospital maintenance and assisting our RVTs.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones professionally, schedule appointments, manage invoicing and assist clients with inquiries about their pets’ needs
-Using Cornerstone practise management software
-managing our schedule to ensure efficient workflow for the team and our patients and clients
- Assist with patient handling and restraint
- Run Idexx inhouse lab equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
- Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Requirements
- VMA diploma
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Positive, happy attitude and a great sense of humour
- Ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced high intensity environment with attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
