Overview:
We are searching for an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our team-oriented practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Veterinarians, Technicians, and Receptionists in all duties of the hospital with the goal of providing the highest quality of care and service. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment and interact with patients and clients with respect and compassion.

Duties include but are not limited to:
-Patient care and basic husbandry
-Restraint of patients for medical procedures
-Hospital cleaning, disinfection and maintenance
-Assisting with surgical and anesthetic procedures
-Client communication
Requirements:
-Completion of a Veterinary Assistant program and/or minimum 1 year experience working in the veterinary field.
-Strong communication and client service skills
-Compassion and empathy for patients and clients
-Self-motivated and effective team player
-Ability to multi-task with high efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to maintain composure and focus during emergency situations
-Ability to lift/carry minimum 50lbs
-Familiarity with Avimark software preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:
