We’re a friendly, passionate team and we’re looking for a front-desk superstar to be the welcoming face of our team! We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a receptionist to join our team in our clinic- Village Vets @ Bray. We operate to a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine and the practice is fully equipped with excellent surgical, diagnostic, and medical equipment.

Our Bray branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in a new building in 2022, having previously practiced as Bairbre O’Malley Veterinary Hospital.

We have a comprehensive range of facilities and equipment, including four consult rooms, separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotics, and in-house lab and diagnostics including digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound. We’re conveniently located on the Southern Cross Central, just off the N11 Bray and Greystones exit,

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be leading the front of house team who are the first point of contact for visitors at the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and patients with a smile
  • Managing bookings for both general practice and referral appointments
  • Supporting our vets and nurses with smooth daily operations
  • Keeping things organised and running like clockwork!
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Checking in patients.
  • Collecting payments.
  • Maintain records as necessary .
  • Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer care skills – warm, patient, and always ready to help
  • Great IT skills – comfortable navigating booking systems, emails, and databases
  • A quick learner with excellent attention to detail
  • Calm and collected under pressure, with a positive and proactive attitude
  • High school diploma or relevant work experience.
  • 3 or more years of front of house experience.
