Coit North Veterinary Hospital is a growing practice that is looking for an animal loving, hard working, reliable Veterinary Technician to join our team! Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is required for this position, however we are always willing to further train people that are willing to put in the hard work and give forth the effort. Full time is required. Responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Great work ethic, strong multi-tasking skills, friendly and compassionate attitude
- Committed to the highest level of customer care
- Doctor support, completing diagnostics and treatments requested by the vet
- Safely handle animals and demonstrate hospital safety
- Proficient in phlebotomy and catheter placement
- Proficient in surgical and patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
- Radiology, taking quality films, proper positioning and restraint
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate clients on how to care for their pet at home
- Daily organization, cleaning and inventory
- Responsible for medical records and client communication notes
