Logistics Manager Key Responsibilities
· Oversee Warehouse Operations: Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
· Ensure agreed logistics customer projects are implemented in timely manner.
· Liaise and meet with employees and their Union representatives with the Head of Logistics Ireland and Head of HR as required.
· Lead and develop a small team of warehouse and operational staff to achieve the company’s ambition, setting clear objectives and developmental plans.
· Evaluate warehouse staff, promoting a productive and safe working environment.
· Design, Encourage and promote on-going continuous improvement programs – lean, 5s, innovation, Employee idea and Innovation programme.
· Logistics Coordination: Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
· Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies with data storage systems.
· Space Utilization: Set up warehouse layout and optimize space utilization for efficient operations.
· Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
· Documentation Maintenance: Keep accurate records of warehouse activities and maintain documentation for compliance purposes.
· Lead all in Internal and external audits within Geodis Ireland.
Facilities Management
· Developing and implementing facility management policies and procedures.
· Planning and coordinating all installation and refurbishment operations.
· Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
· Responsible for the health and safety of the operation and ensuring standards are maintained.
· Inspecting buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
· Managing, contractors, and external suppliers.
· Overseeing facility refurbishments, renovations, and building projects.
· Handling the allocation and management of space within buildings.
· Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
· Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Key Tasks and Duties
Facilities Managers are expected to perform specific tasks on a day-to-day basis:
· Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and facilities.
· Monitor building maintenance budgets and expenditures.
· Implement best practices, techniques, and equipment that promote cost-efficiency.
· Ensure that all facilities are following applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
· Coordinate intra-office moves, including logistical support and planning.
· Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs promptly.
· Recommend upgrades and modifications for improving overall facilities management.
Security Management duties and responsibilities include:
· Identifying, implementing, and maintaining security processes, equipment and services
· Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement
· Developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures
· Attending meetings with other company managers to determine operational needs
· Planning, directing, and coordinating security budgets and purchases
· Responding to emergency situations and providing crisis management assistance
· Maintaining relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services
· Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards related to security

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
