Position Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and organized operation of the warehouse. This individual is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving activities, managing internal and external warehouse communications, coordinating daily operational tasks, and supporting continuous improvement of warehouse procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in logistics Leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate Shipping & Receiving:
Oversee and manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
· Communication Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related communications, including internal departments, external delivery drivers and team members.
· Team Direction:
Set daily work priorities and schedules for forklift drivers and other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
· Warehouse Organization:
Develop and maintain an organized warehouse floor plan, including optimal placement of inventory, clear labeling, and efficient use of space.
· Procedure Development & Compliance:
Assist in developing warehouse operating procedures, training and ensure consistent adherence by all team members.
· Inventory & Fulfillment:
Complete item fulfillment records accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct monthly inventory counts and perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
· Forklift Certification & Training:
Serve as the certified forklift trainer for the warehouse. Manage and document all certification and re-certification processes for staff operating material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics coordinator role.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
· Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation and processes.
· Certified forklift operator with the ability to train and certify others (Prior trainer certification preferred).
· Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.
· The ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers, and to understand safety procedures, training materials and operational documentation.
Working Conditions:
· Fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent physical activity.
· 24/7 operations; flexibility may be required to support all shifts and operational needs.
· Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position.
