Responsible To: Store Operations Manager

Responsible For: Saba Warehouse and Saba Van

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that the Saba delivery van is kept clean and in working order at all times
Ensure Saba delivery van is serviced regularly
Ensure oil and coolant is checked regularly
Ensure that chill unit is working correctly and if not to advise Store Operations Manager
Ensure tires are roadworthy
Ensure any damage to the vehicle is brought to the Store \Operations Manager’s attention
Be advised that the van has a tracker device
Be advised that van is not for personal use
Be advised that van is not to be use for any personal deliveries or equipment unless requested so by Store Operations Manager
It is essential that all deliveries are made early in the day preferably before the kitchen opens
Ensure that all transfers between restaurants are recorded and updated on the drive on a weekly basis
As a driver for Saba you are required to bring to our attention any driving offences
Always bare in mind that when you drive the Saba van you represent the company and your actions are a representation of Saba
You will be required to work as a delivery driver for food to larger events.
Ensure that warehouse is kept in clean and organised
Ensure warehouse follows all relevant Health & Safety standards and is a safe place of work
Ensure that all stock is rotated according to FIFO (First In First Out)
Ensure storage of all produce is paramount ie. that freezer and fridges are on pallets
Ensure any spoiled, damaged or contaminated produce is record and disposed of in the correct manner ie bags of rice should be removed immediately to ensure they do not attract vermin
Ensure that pest control maintenance contract is fulfilled and that regular visits are happening
Ensure that any restaurant supplies (crockery, glassware, files, computers etc.) are stored in a safe and dry location in the warehouse
Ensure all haccp sheets regarding transferred goods are maintained and up to date
Ensure that fridge and freezers are working correctly at all times and are maintained in a clean and tidy manner
Ensure a working probe thermometer is always on site
Ensure that the forklift is used in a safe manner
Ensure that a copy of all delivery dockets is held on site for the EHO
Ensure the original dockets are sent to Rathmines to be processed
Ensure that any breakages are recorded and brought to the Store Operations Managers attention
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, and meet Saba grooming and uniform standards.
To maintain healthy relationships with fellow employees.
To be empowered to deal with problems, through following the HEAL process, and to seek advice when unsure what to do.
To develop self and others, by responding to and giving feedback to other associates.
To comply with predetermined food handling procedures.
To follow the Saba Way standards at all times.
