Our Fort St. John branch is looking for a Material Handler to join our Operations Department. We’re seeking a motivated, energetic, team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of an amazing team.

Shift

• Regular: Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturday mornings and overtime required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform shipping and receiving duties
• Pick and package customer orders accurately
• Load and unload products by hand or with mobile equipment
• Inspect products for accuracy and damage
• Ensure products are properly identified, stored, and organized
• Handle customer pickups and counter orders in a professional manner
• Complete documentation and data entry in the ERP system
• Safely operate a company vehicle and follow all transportation laws
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Secure loads with straps and remove them as needed
• Communicate delays or issues with supervisor and team members
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures (customer, supplier, and company)
• Participate in on-call and overtime shifts, as required

Note – This is a safety-sensitive role. The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, physical, and drug evaluation (including cannabis).

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years related warehouse experience (preferred)
• 1-2 years of forklift experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of fittings, flanges, valves, and/or pipe (asset)
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills for working with customers and suppliers
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Physically capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. and performing manual labour
• Willingness to wear required PPE (steel-toed boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, and coveralls) always in the Operations Department.
