We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joinery Wood Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating a range of woodworking machinery and will play a key role in producing high-quality timber components for bespoke joinery projects.

Salary is Negotiable - Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain woodworking machines including:
• Re-saw
• Cross cut saw
• Thicknesser/planer machine
• Panel saw
• 7 cutter moulder (Weinig or similar)
• Wide belt sanders
• Select, measure, and mark timber according to specifications.
• Machine timber components accurately to size, ensuring tolerances and finishes meet workshop standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery.
• Interpret technical drawings and cutting lists provided by the workshop manager or design team.
• Work efficiently as part of the production team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a wood machinist in a joinery or timber production environment.
• Strong understanding of timber types, grain direction, and machining characteristics.
• Ability to set up and operate a 7 head moulder with minimal supervision.
• Confident using fixed and portable woodworking machines.
• Good eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to work from technical drawings and cutting lists.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
• Understanding of workshop health and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €18.50-€20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay
