Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.

Duties

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as per physician requests.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
• Position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of X-ray equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations regarding radiation exposure for both patients and staff.
• Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered member of CMRTO & OAMRT in good standing
• Valid state licensure to practice as an X-ray Technician.
• Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions for imaging procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
