About the role:
Keeping our people safe is vitally important to us. We're currently looking for an experienced Zero Harm Advisor to join our Central region team.
This role is critical in promoting a consistent national approach to Zero Harm. You will do this through effective implementation, monitoring and review of Zero Harm activities in order to continuously improve knowledge management and performance, whilst working collaboratively with and coaching all business partners, customers and stakeholders.
You will contribute to enabling the conditions for our operational teams to thrive whilst performing work successfully, without harm to people or the communities and environments in which we work.
About you:
We are looking for someone who can engage with our operational teams with the ability to influence and drive initiatives through to completion. You will ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the Health & Safety at Work Act, the Resource Management Act and Hawkins/Downer Zero Harm frameworks and standards.
- You'll have HSE experience with a track record of achieving HSE outcomes in a complex and diverse building construction environment
- You'll be a good influencer, with a strong track record of building HSE engagement
- You'll be able to work across the Hawkins business to imbed consistent standards of performance, to make things happen and have the passion, drive and perseverance to follow through
- You'll proactively support national initiatives, including audit and verification programmes, and work collaboratively with other the national Zero Harm team to achieve 'best for business' outcomes in the development and implementation of Hawkins / Downer Zero Harm standards
