Your role
This is a sales role that requires dedication and focus. You’ll be making a variety of calls including some inbound leads. Through good call structure, quickly building professional rapport to identify needs, you’ll generate selling opportunities and then convert these within targeted levels. This activity will deliver agreed fuel sales and revenue targets that will drive high levels of open-ended commission earnings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially savvy Account Manager to join our Ellerslie based team. Role Responsibilities
The Account Manager maximises customer retention & commercial value by understanding customer needs, satisfaction, and delivering industry leading service and solutions to meet customer needs. You will play a key role in managing client relationships and driving business growth. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver results, ensuring the best possible solutions are in place to meet clients' needs. Your ability to weigh up the pros and cons of deals, manage complex negotiations, and keep client satisfaction at the forefront will be critical to your success. The yearly salary for this role is $65,000 plus a monthly target incentive, and the working hours are Monday thru Friday from 11am to 7pm.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to analyze, weigh up, and make strategic decisions. Negotiate commercial terms and contracts, weighing up potential risks and rewards to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop compelling solutions that keep customers engaged and committed to our products and services.
  • Masterfully resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Unearth fresh business prospects while working in harmony with sales, credit, and customer service departments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent and proactive communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet clients’ objectives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Drive account growth by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform client strategies and business decisions.
  • Provide clear, data-driven reports and feedback to clients on performance and key metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ previous experience in an account management or senior customer service role. Card sector experience and experience in the automotive, fuels, oil and/or energy sector, payments, credit or debit card services will be highly regarded. You are an expert communicator, confident in building long-lasting and trusted relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and partners. You possess the ability to negotiate and present at all levels of the organisation including executive and c-level. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and have a strong eye for detail. Solid CRM software experience is essential.
