Job Summary
We are looking for an organized and detail‑oriented Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting operations. The candidate will assist in maintaining daily accounts, billing, vendor payments, and basic financial reporting for residential and commercial interior‑design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounts entries, including sales, purchase, and petty cash records.
- Prepare and issue invoices and receipts to clients and vendors.
- Assist in bank reconciliation and keeping track of outstanding receivables and payables.
- Maintain and update ledger accounts, voucher records, and digital accounting files.
- Support the preparation of monthly expense reports, project‑wise cost tracking, and basic financial statements.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for timely payment processing and documentation.
- Keep records of project‑related expenses (materials, labour, transport, etc.) as required.
- Follow basic accounting standards and company policies to ensure accurate and transparent records.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, B.Com, or equivalent (accounting/finance background preferred).
- Diploma or certification in Tally / MS Excel / any accounting software will be an advantage.
- 0–3 years of experience in accounts, bookkeeping, or office‑assistant roles (freshers may apply if trained in accounting basics).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas, sheets, and data entry).
- Familiarity with Tally / QuickBooks / similar accounting software is preferred.
- Good numerical ability, attention to detail, and basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle documents and client‑related financial details professionally.
Preferred Attributes
- Exposure to small‑business or construction/interior‑design accounts is a plus.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
- Honest, responsible, and comfortable working with sensitive financial information.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,500.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calicut, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
