About the role
The Administration Support Trainee is a full-time, fixed-term role designed to assist the Service Delivery team in achieving corporate objectives efficiently and effectively.
The trainee will provide vital administrative support across several key areas, including procurement and business process administration for operational project delivery, management of minor trade-waste agreements, documentation related to business continuity and emergency management, and support for business reporting activities. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to essential operational functions while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists with procurement, operational project tracking (including Asset Creation Forms), minor trade waste agreements, water/wastewater sampling logistics, and dam safety inspections.
Supports development of Business Continuity and Emergency Management Plans, prepares management reports, and organises leadership meetings and events.
Promotes a collaborative, inclusive, and positive work environment; shares knowledge and training; and maintains open communication across teams.
Assist with the monitoring risk and incident initiatives, ensures adherence to health, safety, environmental, and risk management frameworks, and leads by example in fostering a safe workplace.
Maintain accurate records in line with corporate systems and handles all queries with sensitivity and confidentiality.

- This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 1 position, ($46,544.61 per annum) This band reflects an entry-level pathway, designed for school leavers or individuals without formal certification, providing an opportunity to begin their career and work towards a recognised trainee qualification.
- Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution.

Ability to learn and accurately follow instructions and processes
Effective communication and basic IT skills, including report writing and interaction with co-workers and management.
Ability to meet work targets and deadlines, with good time management and prioritization skills.
Positive attitude towards personal development, being accountable, innovative, authentic, and a team player to achieve corporate objectives.
