Overview

TJ’s Plumbing & Heating is seeking a skilled and dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service as well proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The Administrative Assistant will assist with incoming call volume on a multi-line phone system.

Candidates for this full-time position should have:

  • The ability to multi-task in an ever-changing office environment
  • Solid Computer Skills
  • Strong Proof-Reading Skills
  • Dispatch knowledge
  • A working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • A working knowledge of Service Titan is desirable
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Solid phone skills and the ability to deal with both customers and vendors
  • Accurate filing skills
  • Available to answer phones nights and weekends as needed at additional pay rate

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Providing courteous, professional, and empathetic customer service by communicating through various channels such as email, phone, and online chat.
  • Responding promptly to all customer inquiries and requests, processing new orders, and completing various forms in our internal system.
  • Efficiently utilize telephone system to answer, connect, and transfer calls.
  • Coordinate and dispatch technicians to customer locations
  • Organization and filing of documents including customer and vendor invoices and purchase orders
  • Various administrative office tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
  • Strong keyboarding skills and the ability to accurately edit and proofread documents.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Prior customer service experience either face to face or via phone.

Jamestown, NY 14701: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
