Role Description

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for creating and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in their care. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and dedicated to supporting young children’s development in a fun and engaging way.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs and activities.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment that supports the individual needs of each child.
• Foster children’s curiosity and creativity through play-based learning experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to encourage collaboration and support.
• Monitor and document children’s progress, communicating regularly with families about their child’s development.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and play-based learning approaches.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A passion for fostering a positive and enriching environment for children.
