Automation & Quality Specialist

The position will be located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What the job is…

You'll play a crucial role in shaping the quality of our platform by leveraging your expertise in backend automation, security validation, and defect analysis. You will work closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure our backend services are scalable and resilient, contributing directly to our mission of delivering seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks specifically for backend services and APIs.

• API Automation: Create and execute sophisticated API tests using ReadyAPI (SoapUI Pro) and/or Playwright.

• Security & Auth: Automate complex authentication flows, including OAuth, JWT, and API keys, to ensure secure service-to-service communication.

• Validation: Validate RESTful (and SOAP) APIs for functionality, performance, and schema integrity (JSON/XML).

• CI/CD Integration: Implement and manage automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable continuous quality.

• Defect Management: Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.

• Strategy & Documentation: Develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and data strategies for backend systems, ensuring high test coverage and clear API documentation.

• Full Lifecycle Testing: Conduct regression, smoke, and integration testing to support frequent production releases.

How you will contribute to the team

• Technical Expertise: 5–7 years of experience in backend/API testing with deep hands-on experience in ReadyAPI and/or Playwright.

• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in automation scripting using Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Protocol Mastery: Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, headers, status codes, and version control (Git).

• Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, and modern test management tools.

• Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks and optimizing automation frameworks for speed and reliability.

• Stakeholder Acumen: Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical backend requirements and business needs.

• Collaboration: Ability to work within diverse teams and foster a positive, solutions-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• ISTQB Foundation Certification.

• Experience with e-commerce platform architectures.
