We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee operations at our vibrant bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves ensuring safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment that encourages team collaboration and member satisfaction. Previous experience in hospitality and bartending is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar staff to ensure high-quality drink preparation, serving, and member service.
• Coordinates liquor purchasing with BC Liquor Stores and maintains accurate, up-to-date inventory records.
• Ensures optimal inventory levels are maintained—keeping products adequately stocked while preventing overstock—to support efficient turnover and continuous product movement.
• Oversee daily operations including inventory management, POS transactions (including Micros POS), cash handling, and food safety compliance.
• Manage team training to maintain an efficient and motivated workforce.
• Ensure adherence to food handling and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for staff, members and guests.
• Handle member inquiries or complaints professionally to enhance member satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to optimize revenue while maintaining quality standards.
• Foster a positive team environment through leadership, mentorship, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bartending and hospitality roles.
• Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety, and food handling.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
• Background in food service or bar experience.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.25-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 24.0 per week
