About the Role:

.As a Bartender at Manor West Hotel, you will play a key role in delivering refined and memorable food and beverage experiences in our 4-star hospitality environment in Tralee. You will take pride in providing warm, professional service during lunch and dinner in the Mercantile Bar, consistently exceeding guest expectations through attention to detail, product knowledge, and presentation.

You will contribute to driving food and beverage sales by recommending premium offerings, supporting innovative cocktail and beverage menus and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Working closely with your team, you will help maintain high service standards, support a positive team culture, and assist with training and mentoring where required.

Collaboration with kitchen and hotel departments will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, while adherence to quality, cost control, and waste-reduction standards will support overall profitability. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Mix cocktails, pour drinks, and ensure correct presentation.
• Monitor and maintain bar stock, including garnishes and supplies.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked during service.
• Support other team members during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff for smooth operations.
• Assist with training new team members when required.
• Follow all hygiene and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
• Take beverage orders and serve drinks promptly and accurately.
• Offer recommendations on drinks, cocktails, and menu pairings.
• Ensure a positive guest experience at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 2 years bar experience, preferably in a hotel
• Extensive knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and mixed drinks
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software such as Tablepaths, Hotsoft, Volante, Alkimii or similar advantageous
• High attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Passion for sustainable practices and waste reduction
• Ability to stand for extended period of times, and lift heavy Food & Beverage items (with assistance as per Manual Handling Best Practice)
• Ability to work late shifts on a regular basis (closing), weekends and public holidays.
