Job Summary
Join the team at Perry Street Chophouse as a Bartender, where elevated hospitality, craft cocktails, and guest experience come together in a high-energy steakhouse environment. Bartenders are responsible for delivering warm, attentive service while preparing classic and signature cocktails, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and creating memorable guest interactions. Ideal candidates are personable, detail-oriented, knowledgeable about spirits, wine, and cocktails, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused atmosphere.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Engage with guests warmly, taking drink orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring their overall satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions (including Aloha POS and Micros POS systems), and billing accurately while maintaining accountability for all sales.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
• Restock bar inventory regularly, track supplies, and communicate needs to management promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to ensure seamless service delivery in various settings such as fine dining or nightclubs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within a hospitality environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and alcohol regulations required by local laws.
• Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments is a plus; familiarity with brewing processes can be beneficial.
