Foxfire Mountain House, located in Mt. Tremper, NY is currently seeking a Bartender with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our FOH team. Passionate about food, ambitious, warm and engaging with guests…if that’s you, please get in touch with us! We’d love to hear more.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare drinks in accordance with company recipes - we employ a batched cocktail program for house cocktails. Must have a working knowledge of popular cocktail recipes.
• November - April: Prep & bartend in the Foxfire Bar Room & Restaurant for our dinner service held on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday nights.
• May - October: Prep & bartend for Friday 4p-Sunday 11a events. We are known for our multi-day retreat style wedding events in the Catskills. Dinner service is offered on Sunday & Monday nights exclusively during our event season.
• Setting up bar for dinner service.
• Offering impeccable service and hospitality for guests of the inn.
• Taking & entering orders into Toast POS.
• Ability to converse with guests effortlessly and build rapport.
• Working in tandem with our current FOH team.
• End of night cleaning/maintenance of Dining Room.
• Assist with creation of cocktails and development of our bar program.
• Assisting with the complete setup and breakdown of event spaces including but not limited to: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, late night party.
• Relaying food and beverage orders, allergies & special requests from guests to team members.
• Responding urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Anticipating guests’ needs and offer engaging service and hospitality.
• Maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Presenting a professional appearance and mannerisms at all times.
• Ability to walk on varied terrain while carrying catering equipment, food & beverage.

Schedule (approximate):

• Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm
• Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm
• Saturday 3:00pm-11:30p
• Sunday 3:00pm-10:30pm
• Monday 3:00pm-10:30pm

In/out times may fluctuate slightly if an event is being hosted on site - these are typically scheduled for Saturdays & Mondays.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $65,000 Annual Salary
