Position Summary:

Oles and Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paraprofessional Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support our accountants and CPAs in delivering high-quality financial and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position is perfect for someone with solid accounting skills, experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation, and a desire to grow within a professional firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general bookkeeping duties using accounting software
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review
• Assist in preparation of individual and business tax returns under CPA supervision
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledgers
• Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
• Communicate professionally with clients to gather necessary financial data

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a CPA firm
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, UltraTax, etc.)
• Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience assisting with tax preparation (individual, corporate, partnership)
• Working knowledge of payroll systems and sales tax filings

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
