Our job opportunity
Today, we are currently recruiting a Building Safety Officer.
Your responsibilities
Your daily tasks
Establishing and implementing the general building safety policy in accordance with Luxembourg legislation.
Being the contact person for ITM, CIS, approved inspection bodies, fire experts and other inspection authorities in connection with building safety.
Organizing and monitoring the condition of safety installations in all buildings under his/her responsibility, to ensure that they are compliant.
Managing risks related to building safety, assisting and making recommendations to technical teams during acceptance, tests and checks in this area.
Conducting safety audits of buildings, work areas and construction sites
Defining and ensuring the implementation of compensatory measures in the event of the unavailability of a building safety installation.
Participating in regulatory monitoring and ensure compliance with and proper application of current building safety rules and regulations, both in day-to-day operations and during the organization of events at lux-Airport.
Managing first aid and personal assistance resources (monitoring of interventions, purchase of small items of first aid equipment, management of defibrillators, etc.).
Managing PMR equipment (purchase of necessary materials, monitoring and management of maintenance).
Organizing and running training courses on building safety installations (fire control units, fire supervision software, smoke extraction, etc.).
Ensuring the preparation and management of working documents, fire permits, evacuation plans, procedures and maintenance booklets
Preparing monthly safety reports
Your other missions
Participating in the integration of new employees
Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behavior

The required profile
Studies / training
Civil engineering degree or post-graduate diploma (Master's) specializing in “building technology” or significant professional experience in the field
Specific training in fire safety, crisis management and evacuation
Knowledge of applicable ISO standards and in-depth understanding of building safety regulations

Experience
5 years' experience in fire safety

IT Tools
Mandatory:
Microsoft Office suite
Languages
Mandatory:
French: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
English: operational level in the business - advanced level (B2 minimum)
Nice-to-have:
German / Luxembourgish: the knowledge of those languages would be an asset.
