We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Cafe Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafe, managing staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. You will work closely with the cafe manager to implement policies and procedures, manage inventory, and ensure that all staff are trained and motivated to perform their best. Your role will also involve handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the cafe. Job Description

· Oversee daily operations of the cafe.

· Manage and train cafe staff.

· Ensure high standards of food quality and hygiene.

· Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

· Handle customer inquiries and complaints.

· Manage inventory and order supplies.

· Implement and enforce cafe policies and procedures.

· Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.

· Maintain accurate financial records and reports.

· Assist in the Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.

· Promote a positive work environment.

· Assist in marketing and promotional activities.

· Ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

· Address any operational issues promptly.

· Support the cafe manager in achieving business goals.

· Foster strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cafe supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in using cafe management software.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation is a plus.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Customer Service

Providing a high level of customer service at all times

Excellent communication skills and happy temperament

Ensure all comments and complaints are logged and dealt with in a courteous manner.

Remaining up to date on activities and events in the café

Health & Safety

Carry out health and safety duties as specified in the organisation’s safety statement

Individual will be required to wear all black and will be provided with a T-shirt & apron.

Hair must be always tied back and hand/nails kept tidy.

Other

Any other duties as assigned

Attending internal meetings and training as agreed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €14.00-€14.50 per hour
