Job Overview

We are seeking a case manager for our Veteran housing program to join our team. A successful candidate will have case management or similar experience, experience in trauma-informed awareness care, and experience with de-escalation techniques.

You will be responsible for assisting veteran households obtain housing stability via client-centered support and case management, crisis intervention, and ensuring the coordination of services. This includes working directly with veterans and their families to assess needs, develop care and housing stability plans, advocate on behalf of the veteran, in-home visits, maintain relationships with veteran households’ landlords, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Continuum of Care, and other community partners. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, good time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Local travel is required to go to surrounding counties.

Qualifications

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology orhuman service-related field (Master’s preferred), previous experience in case management, social work or related field, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team, must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass a level 2 background screening and drug screening.

Benefits:

Full-time position, flexible hours between 8 am and 6 pm. Required to work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week. Hybrid work schedule, health insurance available, retirement 403B offered

Pay :

Beginning salary minimum $42k year

Job Type: Full-time
