Central Hawkes Bay Health Centre - Registered Nurse
  • Central Hawke’s Bay Health Centre, Inpatient Ward
  • Permanent, Full-time 80 hour’s per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

This Registered Nurse role is rostered and rotating and would appeal to someone who has experience in the older adult and/or palliative patient.


About the Team/Service/ Location

The Inpatient ward is changing its Model of Care (MOC) and is now admitting rehab patients with an emphasis on discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team. The next phase of our MOC will be working with our communities’ palliative patients.


The Central Hawkes Bay (CHB) Health Centre is located in Waipukurau which is 40 minutes’ drive south of Hastings, in the Hawkes Bay District. There is a population of 16,000 people.

About you

You would have completed a NETP year or would be a Registered Nurse with experience working with the older adult within a multidisciplinary team.


Our ideal candidate will also have the following key skills and attributes;

  • Holds a current Annual Practising Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Holds a currently assessed nursing portfolio as assessed via an approved Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP)
  • You would have strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • A positive attitude
