Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service. If you have a passion farm to table food, excellent culinary skills, and strong leadership abilities, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook delicious and visually appealing meals in accordance with recipes and food safety standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to food preparation procedures
- Plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food items
- Oversee banquet or catering events, ensuring timely delivery of meals and exceptional service
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a professional food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create innovative and flavorful dishes
- Previous experience in food service management or supervisory role is preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of kitchen management software is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Degree or certification in culinary arts or related field is preferred
