We are looking for 1 full-time Chinese Cooks to join our progressive restaurant. We require 5 positive and ambitious candidates who can handle responsibility with ease whilst remaining focused and in control in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Chinese Cook

Location: Wellington CBD

Employment Type: Full-time

Days required: Monday to Sunday on shift

Hourly Rate: $28.18 to $30 per hour

Hours per week: 30 hours to 50 hours per week

Number of Vacancies: 1 positions

Key tasks & responsibilities:

• Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to restaurant specifications.
• Ensuring all restaurant Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.
• Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification.
• Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence.
• Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet restaurant and statutory Health and Safety requirements.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
• Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.
• General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.

• No prior experience or qualifications are required, but would be an advantage if you have experience in this industry.
• On-the-job training will be provided if you are the right one.

• Ability to work independently with confidence.
• Time management and punctuality.
