Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves safely transporting freight across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and a, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on professionalism and reliability.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical issues during routes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for Class 1 vehicles.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as FLAT DECK TRAILER is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and vehicle maintenance records.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Physical capability to load, unload, and secure freight, including lifting up to specified weights as needed.
- Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance at all times.
Pay: Up to $8,000.00 per month
