Position: Clinical Nurse Manager – Aged Care - (Blackrock - Dublin)

Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) – Aged-care / Respite

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse Manager will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to provide a consistently strong standard of care to our residents. The post holder must be enthusiastic, motivated, committed to resident focused care. The Clinical Nurse Manager will assume responsibility for the day-to-day clinical management of the nursing home, while co-ordinating the care and activities of the residents. Quality of care, being mindful of HIQA regulations, is the fundamental aspect of this role.

Essential:

• Registered with NMBI (RNID essential)
• Recognised management qualification (FETAC /QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience at CNM1 level working in aged care
• A detailed knowledge of Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulation
• Full driving license and access to own transport.

Desirable:

• Be highly motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative and the capacity to manage change.
• Proven people management, leadership, and people skills with the ability to work with a large number of staff.
• Be able to work on projects as directed by the Service Manager.
• Have experience of working with Behaviours of Concern and complex care needs and supporting mentoring staff teams in the delivery of a high quality to the Service Users.
• Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007 and have the ability to maintain the high-level set post initial registration visit by HIQA.
• Have experience collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies in the co-ordination of services.
