The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Civil Construction Manager to lead the delivery of major civil infrastructure projects across the Brisbane region. This is a key leadership role for a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, capable of managing multiple teams, projects, and stakeholders with confidence. This position will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of a portfolio of civil projects—ranging from roadworks and subdivisions to bulk earthworks and drainage infrastructure. Working closely with project teams, clients, and senior leadership, you’ll ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and manage multiple civil construction projects from inception to completion. This includes conducting regular site visits to ensure programming of all site works is performed in accordance with construction plans.
Oversee project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure consistent delivery
Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and subcontractors
Work closely with key stakeholders ensuring the effective utilisation of all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractor etc) with a view to fully utilising all company owned plant / equipment.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and local authorities
Drive continuous improvement across construction methodologies and team performance
Assist with tenders, programming, and strategic project planning
Skills and Experiences:
About You
Proven strong experience as a Construction Manager in the civil construction industry
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage civil construction teams and stakeholders effectively
Extensive knowledge of civil works including roadworks, drainage, subdivisions, and earthworks
Excellent commercial and contract management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sound understanding of WH&S, environmental, and quality standards
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (desirable)
Current White Card and valid driver’s licence
Computer literacy within MS Office and MS Project
