Consultant, Business Technology

As a Business Technology Consultant you will help our clients understand the impact of digital transformation and to advise them when developing their new digitally enabled business models and capabilities. With this impact understood, you will be delivering digitally enabled business outcomes using your skills in strategy development, business analysis, agile delivery, technology transformation and organisation design. This includes the development and implementation of IT strategy, platform strategy, and IT operating models. It also involves designing and architecting technology solutions to meet business needs, driving collaborative selling and business development efforts and fostering people development and team growth.

Positions available in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Partnering with CIOs, GMs and department heads to shape strategy and roadmaps
• Leading technology transformation initiatives and developing strategic business cases
• Conducting research, benchmarking and analysis to inform platform and IT strategy
• Designing enterprise‑grade, next‑generation technical solutions
• Supporting vendor and tool evaluation and selection
• Developing and implementing IT operating models for efficiency
• Analysing IT costs and providing insights on portfolio optimisation and value
• Leading Agile and technology transformation programs, including upgrades and migrations
• Assessing and improving engineering practices, tooling and automation
• Ensuring delivery teams implement solutions as intended
• Facilitating workshops to gather requirements and align stakeholders
• Building and managing strong client relationships
• Supporting IT due diligence and integration/separation planning for M&A
• Contributing to collaborative selling and business development efforts

You’ll bring experience driving business and operational transformation through technology. Key skills include:

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in management consulting or similar roles
• Strong understanding of platform and IT strategy, and IT operating models
• Experience with Agile and technology‑led transformation
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge
• Ability to motivate teams and support self‑organisation
• Passion for emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, Cloud, PQC)
• Comfort working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
• Willingness to travel or work onsite with clients
