With a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing team.

Role Overview

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the contractual and commercial aspects of multiple construction projects. You will ensure contracts are correctly negotiated, executed, and managed throughout the project lifecycle to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer all contract documentation, including subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Ensure the most effective and efficient utilisation of people and resources required for the duration of the project.
  • Lead the tendering and procurement process, including preparation and review of bid documents.
  • Support project managers and site teams with contract-related matters.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Handle claims, variations, extensions of time, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide regular reports on contract performance and commercial standing.
  • Maintaining and promoting strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role within the construction industry.
  • Where there is no qualifications or formal training, the candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience in the Building Trade including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g. PWC, NEC, JCT).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in risk management and cost control.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • The person would have to be highly motivated and be well experienced and well capable to work using their own experienced initiative.

Desirable

  • Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or similar body.
  • Experience with large-scale projects between €10m - €50m.
